I wanted my first blog post to be an introduction. I started in the medical field at the early age of
18 when I first joined the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I served 4 years and just before I got out of the military, I saw an ad for Certified Nursing Aid School. So, before I got out I went to
school and obtained my CNA license.
While working as a CNA I started to pursue my Hospital Diploma degree in Nursing. While in
school I would talk about advancing my degree to become a Certified Registered Nurse
Anesthetist CRNA. After receiving my degree I worked in several areas of nursing. I worked in a
Cardiac Care Unit, ICU, float pool, supervisor, and nurse manager. After 8 years in nursing, I
decided to further my education and become a CRNA. I went back to school and received my
BSN and while I was in school I decided to also get a master's degree in business. I wanted to own a business one day so I figured there was a time before I started anesthesia school to receive another degree.
After anesthesia, I wanted to help others pursue their dreams of becoming a CRNA. I wrote two
books that are available on Amazon. How I Survived CRNA School and You Can Too. The
second book is 1000 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started Anesthesia School! Both books are
available on Amazon via Kindle or paperback.
I currently work as a CRNA full-time. I enjoy watching a good movie, tasting great food,
exercising, and spending time with family. I also continue to write and create content. Let’s take
this journey together wherever you are in your career. My goal is to use this platform to discuss
various topics in nursing as well as life. Stay Tuned.
